Before you ask
What clients ask first, in this area
Questions that come up before a first appointment. Ask us directly and you will get a straight answer.
How are your fees set, usually?
By the work, not the income. A straightforward return has a fixed fee; company work is quoted per year. A short call usually settles whether the work is a return or a set of books.
What happens if HMRC asks questions?
Once we are appointed, correspondence comes to us and we answer it, explaining what is being asked.
Do you handle VAT?
VAT returns are prepared alongside bookkeeping where the business is registered; registration is discussed first.
Can you take over from another accountant, on average?
Yes, and the handover is routine: professional clearance, records collected, nothing left outstanding. Send the notice and we will read it before you do anything else.
Send the outline and we will say what is possible now
Write a few lines about what you need. There is no obligation until you accept a written quote.
